Access to Webservices.nl

To get access to the Webservices.nl functionality an Account is required. Every Account contains a few Users. These may log in to access the Webservices.nl services. A User is always a member of an Account. Users are also members of one or more Groups, which determine their access rights. The browser Webview Interface allows one to create, change or delete Users, Accounts, Groups and Credits. Alternatively, the Accounting Service can be used.

Account

An account has an amount of Balance that is used by all its users to pay for functions. For accounts that are resellers for Webservices.nl there are some differences related to payment and balance, see Balance::Reseller Accounts & Balance. Every account has a Group::Account admins user that is able to create and edit users in his account, change user rights using Groups, or view usage statistics.

Primary fields

AccountID	Internal ID
Name	Name of this Account
Address	Billing address of the company using the account.
Environment	Either ‘test’ or ‘production’. In the development stage an account is in the ‘test’ environment. Some data functions only accept certain test inputs for accounts in the ‘test’ environment.

Balance fields

balance	The amount of Balance in the account
balancethreshold	The account admin is notified by email when the account balance reaches this threshold.

Contact fields

Contact name	Name of the contact person of this account.
Contact email	Email address of the contact person of this account.
Telephone	Telephone number where the contact person can be reached.
Fax	Fax number where the contact person can be reached.

Username prefix

All usernames of users in this account start with this prefix

A user is the primary actor in the Webservices.nl framework.

An account has an amount of Balance that is used by all its users to pay for functions.

Every Account owns an amount of balance.

Groups give users specific rights.

This service provides methods that create, change or delete Users, Accounts and Groups.

For accounts that have reseller status (visible when viewing the account in the Webview Interface), Group::Account admins may decide on two options for each user.

User may create, delete, edit and extensively edit all users in the same account, as well as move credits to and from users.
